Description
I happened to stumble onto Timeless Doctor's solution for wiping prusa xl nozzles . It is inspired by successes from other printers, and doesn't require any ‘exotic’ parts. I decided to model a version from scratch that requires zero mounting hardware, instead solely relying on a 3030 twist lock . I also created two versions, a single and double brush version. I would recommend PTEG for this model. I personally was printing PC parts and added this to the batch. I needed to use pliers to do the first twist on and off a 3030 extrusion (used the side of the printer) after that I could hand twist the part with no issues. Updates: (07/05/24) Added a variant that accommodates an m3/m4 bolt on the right side, pair with a 3030 twist nut. (3d printed or metal) Required Parts: 7mm outer diameter (od) 3mm inner diameter (id) silicone tubing (ref link) https://amzn.to/4bwcMyM Tubing cutting jig: https://www.printables.com/model/684146-cutter-for-ultimate-nozzle-wiper Nozzle position indicator: https://www.printables.com/model/462473/files (my recommendation is to position a tad to the right of the center of the arrow)
