Description
I made this to be 1mm wider than Alien Tape, as well as the offset/depth of pressure. I mounted one in a glovebox for a GMC base pickup, and another inside the console lid of Jeep XJ. I printed it out of ABS as that's what was already in my Creality K1Max at the time. I run "Fix Model" and "Simplify Model" at Low on the STL file in Creality slicer 7 before printing. I also oriented it 90* x axis to give the part strength in its normal use direction with the print lines, changed infil to 30% and they're plenty solid for what they do. There are commercially available versions of this, and most newer vehicles have them to hold registration/insurance, or parking permits etc. I hit my research threshold of one hour before making my own in Tinkercad.
