First: Thank you, Bastl, for giving us the key to your kastle! Amazing to see this great product go open-source. Along that line, I would like to share some designs I made for the Alchemist and Wave Bard DIY kits. --Double trouble - Kastle-2 case A case, designed for two Bastl Kastle-2 units. I wanted something compact, and prefer to use a power adapter (or powerbank/laptop when traveling), so decided on a flatter design without space for batteries. You can assemble it using the parts in the DIY kit + 8 additional m3 nuts. I 3d-printed the case using supports for the indents for the nuts and the two usb-c ports. The holes for the jacks printed without support. --Power using only one usb-cable !!No official modification. Try at your own risk!! I power both units using only a single usb cable on the left unit. The right unit gets its power from the left unit. Some easy soldering required. You can do this by: Cut the connector and red/black wires from the battery compartment, leaving as much wire connected to the connector as possible. Strip a small amount of the tips of the wires, leaving 1 to 2 mm of metal wire exposed. Solder the black wire to the GND hole on the right of the left unit. (The alchemist in my case) Solder the red wire to the VDD on the right of the left unit. Insert the connector in the battery input of the right unit. --Double Trouble - Travelcase A case to store and transport the Double-Kastle-2 case, including space for a small power-bank/wires/cable/etc. Not perfect, but I am still happy with it.
