Dowel/pipe painting stand support

A very simple support piece for applying finishes on long round objects like pipes and dowels. You can easily rotate the workpiece for full paint coverage without it sliding off improvised supports Made to fit objects up to about 40mm diameter. Scale the model up for bigger stuff. To minimize the risk of scratches you can sand down the layer steps on the round part, or you can optionally put a paper towel or something similar under the workpiece, or just print the whole thing with TPU. I noticed no visible marks on hardwood dowels when applying stains and oil. Delicate materials or painted plastic pipes might need additional care. I needed to apply finishes to many wooden dowels (originally - garden tool handles) at once, so printing a few of these supports made the work much easier. Also, this makes sure the workpieces don't touch the work surface and don't roll around
