Description
I had the print head cable break on my Ender 3 S1 Pro within 1 month of receiving the printer. Kudos to Creality to expedite a new cable from China to fix the problem, even over the Chinese the New Year! But, I couldn't tell if this was originally a poorly manufactured cable, design flaw caused by a badly routed cable behind the gantry, or it just was flexing too much in a single spot. So, I searched for a drag chain that would reroute the cable and potentially prevent it from breaking due to movement in the future. This is a collection from several sources and does not require the Clip S1 if you alternate the chain links. I added the clips later with the hope this provides a bit more stiffness and doesn't cause the ribbon cable to flex and break again. I printed the parts with a generic red PLA @ 200c, bed of 50c, no supports and infill of 15%. No other settings were made from default. I then added the clips later in Hatchbox Red PLA with the same settings in case you see some color difference in the pics (shiny vs more of a matte red from Hatchbox) Big shout out to Fizzy Chickens for the model and making this work!
