Description

DISCLAIMER: This is a very rough, amateur remix. It is a "function over form" project with several fitment issues, but it works great for thermals. I modified the "Dual Fan version of BC-250 ATX CASE" to add about 50mm of extra width. My goal was to fit my BC-250 equipped with a custom backplate cooler ( https://pl.aliexpress.com/item/1005006009318799.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.144.76641c24fEmV5K&gatewayAdapt=glo2pol ) and give it enough breathing room. I did this in a very amateur way, but it works, my BC-250 maintains very good temperatures. Please be aware of the following issues before printing. Here is how I solved them: Motherboard Rails: The rails meant to hold the BC-250 were too tight (maybe due to my modifications). Fix: I just snipped them with flush cutters and the board sits fine. PSU Mount: One of the screw holes doesn't align. Fix: The PSU holds securely on just 3 screws. Front Fan: The modeled screw holes are too big, and standard fan screws fall right out. Fix: I just taped the fan in place. Front/Back Connection: I didn't want to model a complex locking mechanism for the two halves of the case. Fix: duct tape holding it together. Power Switch: Doesn't fit its dedicated hole properly. Fix: A drop of glue keeps it secure. Hub: My specific hub didn't fit into the designated spot. Hardware & Bill of Materials (What you need): Motherboard: BC-250 Fan mount & pressure booster: Download from NexGen3D DIY Steam Machine Fans: 2x 120mm fans (I used Arctic BioniX P120 and Thermaltake Toughfan 12) Backplate Cooler: Custom cooler from AliExpress Thermal Pad: Honeywell PTM7950 (40x40mm) Power Switch: 16mm Flat Head Latching Switch (3V-6V) from AliExpress PSU Jumper: ATX Jumper Bridge from AliExpress Power Supply: Standard ATX PSU (Modular is highly recommended as there is very little room for cable management) Fan Hub: SATA Fan Hub from AliExpress Tools & Supplies: Soldering iron, duct tape, CA glue, flush cutters. My Print Settings (Printed on Kobra S1): Orientation: Open side facing upwards (towards the ceiling) Supports: None Material: PETG Wall Loops: 4 Infill: 20% Gyroid Top/Bottom Layers: 5 If you are good at Fusion, feel free to remix this and fix these issues! If you just want a functional case for your backplate cooler and don't mind using tape and glue, this will do the job perfectly.
