Description
I wanted to use the larger 4-wire LED switch in the screen cover. I also added the Elegoo logo. I did have to cut a notch in the screen housing that slides onto the printer for the wires to freely feed into the machine. Also, use the smaller connectors, not the automotive size as they are too big, and they must be bent at about 90 degrees in order to seat against the printer (particularly the top two). Oh, and I did change the underneath a little also (see sideview pic with wires) that piece that sticks down with the hole was removed. I didn't take pics of the wiring inside but I made 4 extension wires (two black [with blue connectors] and two red). One of each color has female connectors on both ends while the other two had one male and one female connector. The wires with two female connectors connect to the new switch and to the rear-most prongs on the old switch. The other two female connectors plug into the new switch while the male ends plug into the female connectors on the old wires removed from the original switch ( I hope this makes sense). I leave the rear switch in the ON position always and control power with the front switch. If you wire it and the light does not come on when you turn the switch on, you need to invert the wires on the new switch between the top and bottom) Red connectors are towards the outside and blue (in my case) are towards the inside. Make sure your wires stay clear of the belts. IF I EVER HAVE TO OPEN THE UNDRSIDE OF ONE OF MINE AGAIN, I will upload a pic for reference I am not a designer, I just play with Tinkercad, so anything I create/mod/etc is/are not professional by no means nor do I claim them to be. Just something I wanted and either created or modded the only way I know how. So please be nice :) Disclosure: With so many asking for the STL's that I am using...I'm working on getting them all together and identifying the original creator information so that I can upload them...IF ANY ORIGINAL CREATOR is not happy with my mods being posted, please let me know and I will pull them. I'm hoping to be able to link all of the original files...just take into account I am new to uploading any files to printables 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media
