Description
I needed a way to quickly cut strips of electrical tape for wiring harnesses and I got a little tired of using scissors. I attempted to use a plain 'office tape dispenser' (used for Scotch tape) but the rolls of electrical tape are too large in diameter, so I decided to make my own. At the moment, this design uses a single sided razor blade to cut the tape (I might try to use a hacksaw blade or something that's not as slicey-dicey, but I had a bunch of razor blades from cutting heat shrink tubing, so I just used that). The bottom of this dispenser is also modeled to accept 6-32 heat set threaded inserts so that I could bolt it to my workbench. The print is very light and with the additional force required to pull on electrical tape (when compared to Scotch tape), a weighted base still wasn't enough. I've included the Fusion exports in case someone wants to put their own spin on things.
