Description
This strain relief was originally made to solve a fire hazard, namely the USB-C cable on the print head, during a print the cable moved a lot and could break free from it's housing causing the cables inside to become damaged and possibly cause a short. The housing is made from self extinguishing PVC, so there wouldn't be a dangerous fire, but it causes a lot of smoke and damage to surrounding parts. Don't forget to remove the cable from 8 or so links, like the original model/comments say. This frees up some slack and causes less tension on the cable head. This causes the cable to hang slightly lower (like in my images) but does not interfere with the print head. MODEL DOES NOT CONTAIN MY INITIALS ON TOP, these were simply the pictures I had on hand. Personally printed in PolyLite black PET-G with the stock 0.4 mm nozzle. Print with the screw holes pointing up and enable support.
