Description
This design is a remix aimed at improving the use of flexible filaments on the Centauri Carbon. The modification raises the height of the printer’s top cover, creating enough space to house a TPU spool directly inside the machine. The main goal is to optimize the filament path by shortening the distance and avoiding complex routing, which can often cause jams or inconsistent feeding when working with elastic materials. With this design, the TPU follows a more direct path to the extruder, improving overall print reliability. Additionally, keeping the spool inside the enclosed build volume helps reduce exposure to ambient humidity, which is especially important for materials like TPU that are highly hygroscopic. To further address this, the design also includes a small compartment for placing silica gel packets, helping to keep the filament dry during use. This remix is intended for users who want to print flexible filaments more consistently and with fewer issues, without requiring complex additional modifications.
