Elegoo Centauri Carbon Work Light - Remix This is a remix of... Elegoo Centauri Carbon vent riser ...posted by Squeack on July 24, 2025. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7099716 The OP's model is a vent riser with shutters on all four sides. It sits atop the Elegoo Centauri Carbon with the intent of allowing the top glass plate to remain in place on the top of the vent riser, even while printing with low temperature filament. The movable shutters ventilate the cabinet when open but can be closed for higher temperature operations. The riser has raised outer edges all the way around to keep the glass in place. His model is terrific; works as intended and is an easy, if large project consisting of sixteen parts. My remix facilitates installing a 10" (actually about 10-1/4") USB-powered LED ring light (link below) within the OP's vent riser, below the smoked glass Elegoo top plate but above the moving parts of the print head carriage. Because the glass plate is so reflective, a light source above the plate doesn't work very well. Having the light below the glass works quite nicely. My model replaces the four dovetailed top rails of the original model with new pieces and requires four light support pieces. All the other parts of the original model work as originally published. Each of the new design top rails has a pocket in the top face to receive the light supports. The supports are glued into the pockets in the new top rails and have small tabs for the light ring to rest on. The original model has slots in the two back corners that the lamp wire can be routed through. The hole in the top of the vent riser is not exactly square; there's about a 5 mm difference. To accommodate that, there are two models for the light supports, one for front and rear, one for the sides. They are labeled. The light is a tight fit in the supports and they will be deflected slightly when the light is in place. That should preclude any looseness or rattling while the printer is working. The OP made separate files for all four of the top rails, even though opposite pairs seem to be identical. I did the same for the replacement top rails but not for the light supports. I made two light support files; you'll need two of each. You'll need one each of the top rails, so a total of eight parts, plus the OP's twelve original pieces that were not affected by this remix. The ring light is... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DZ6QPVLV?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title Printing Notes: Material: PLA Nozzle: 0.4 mm Layer height: 0.15 or 2 mm Shells: 0.8 mm Infill: 16% Supports: Yes for Light support, tab needs support (prints upside down)
