Description
This is a thumb screw design I made to replace stripped bolts from my Titan brand music stand, purchased from Music & Arts. It uses a standard M6x25 hex head bolt. The STL includes an unprintably-thin feature which forces the slicer to put the wingnut body up on supports. Then you can drop the hex bolt into the hole mid-print, and it won't touch the bed. When the print is finished, break off the supports to reveal the bolt's threads. Material used: PLA, but anything should work. Supports: Required only on the bottom of the wingnut portion. Use support painting or blockers to keep them out of the hexagonal bolt head cavity. Special requirements: Add a "pause print" command before the first full top layer, to give you time to insert the hex bolt into the hexagonal hole. Hardware required: M6-1.0 x 25mm, qty 1.
