Description

Ender 3 v3 KE dual fan mod/upgrade: significant upgrade to part cooling fans very stable two versions, one that moves the filament runout sensor to the toolhead and one without. spot for adxl clip mount (i will add link to it once i get time to upload it) uses two 5015 blower fans. will likely require you to cut connectors off original fans and solder/splice to the new fan wire or you can order fans with a JST-PH connector, or you can order separate connectors online. id recommend ones that you solder or connect somehow to new fan wires as crimp on ones can be difficult due to how small the wires/crimp needs to be... unless you already have a tool for that then whatever you feel like doing you will need four (x4) M2.5 x 8mm countersunk screws to connect the top fan mount to the bottom duct part, be careful not to strip the screwhead so use decent screws and allen wrench. You will also need four (x4) M3 x 20mm screws (two for each fan). if using countersunk id recommend using washers for the fans. The adxl mount uses two (x2) countersunk M2.5 x 8mm (will provide link to that remix once i upload it) The filament runout sensor mount uses the original screws and the top piece can use whatever you're able to fit. very easy upgrade and definitely worth it IMO allows you to upgrade the hotend fan to a 4020 after printing a 2510 to 4020 fan adapter for the ender 3 v3 ke or you can keep the original 2510. supports needed for fan mount (top) and for runout sensor mount. dont need them for the ducts (bottom) piece i highly recommended to print ducts (bottom) with PETG or something with higher heat resistance than PLA as high bed temperatures will cause them to get soft and could mess them up. print everything with at least PETG if in enclousre. top piece can be done with PLA if not in enclosure I'd been wanting to remix this for quite some time but my CAD skills/knowledge is very limited. I really liked the original design and believe it's a bit better in terms of duct design and seems to have much less vibration for input shaping than any other dual 5015 fan upgrades for the Ender 3 v3 KE that i have been able to try out. i also think it looks pretty slick. I just really didn't like the way the original design mounted the fans in a way that completely blocked your view and access to the filament and latch where it goes into the extruder and made me really want to come up with a solution to that while maintaining the benefits of the original design. I feel like i accomplished this. I will provide a link to my remix of the ADXL mounts seen in the photo as soon as i get the chance to upload
