Description
I really liked Oleksandr's remix of the much-remixed filament guide, but it's hard to print the bearing and goose neck without excellent calibration, and I wanted to give filament a gentler curve over the top of the gantry. I scaled the goose + gear pulley to 120%, then modified the base to have a 20% taller/larger upright, while keeping the dimensions of the base the same so the gantry mount still works. Printed the parts as oriented with PLA, I used 40% infill so they'd be rigid but presumably anything would work fine. the base could use supports but I printed it without them and the stringing on the overhang actually helped grip the center of the gear pulley when assembled. I suggest printing the gear with ~.1-.16mm layer lines so the gears are more accurate, the other parts can be .2mm or higher.
