Description
I loved the modifications akpetr made to the original design by w33ble , but wanted to add a longer bed scraper knob to accommodate my chonkier spatula. I also didn't need the USB stick hole contained in akpetr's remix, so I replaced it with a generic caliper holder that I think worked well enough. I modified akpetr's .stl file in Tinkercad, so I'm aware it's not the most elegant CAD editor out there, but it did the job just fine and I quite liked the overall result. Print settings I used: Generic PLA 0.32mm layer height 3 top/bottom layers 2 wall loops/perimeters (it might be better to increase this to avoid cracking around the screw holes) 5% honeycomb infill (you might want to increase that as well to make the part stronger) Don't forget to set X-Y hole compensation for that nice fit (my printer needed around 0.25mm). I also used outer/inter walls printing order to make sure the screws were able to fit nicely. Print with supports! This is necessary due to the longer knob, which is about 30mm in length. I just used some tree supports under the knob and it worked fine, but you might want to experiment with that. Here's a screenshot showing how I placed printed on OrcaSlicer: 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media Please note that I'm a 3D-printing newbie, so the more advanced users out there might find the printing settings above outrageous or plain wrong. Let me know if there's something you think should be changed to improve the durability of the tool holder!
