Ergonomic Grips for Adjustable Spool Holder

About I really liked humebeam 's Adjustable Spool Holder for Silica Gel but found they were sometimes difficult to get tightened down onto the spool and sealed. This is a collection of tools I designed from scratch to make using these spool silica holders easier and more accessible. Personally I've been using 1 Mega Grip + 1 Mini Grip. Variations Mega Grip A funnel-shaped tool that serves several purposes: Bottom : Grip for the wavy outer faces of the original Spool Silica Holder Top : Driver for the lid that seals in the silica Inside : Container to easily remove the silica from the spool holder without making a mess. Print with the wavy side on the print bed. Adhesion : The wavy grips have fairly limited bed surface area and should be printed with a decent brim (I needed 6mm inside & outside with 0 spacing) or they may lift off the bed Strength : I used 6 perimeters and 50% infill but you could use less if your silica holders aren't difficult to tighten Resolution : Layer height isn't critical. Maybe pay attention to the indentation around the inside base of the grip. I used automatic adaptive layer height. Fuzzy Skin : Enable fuzzy skin (optional) for extra grip Mega Grip: To prevent interference with the lid tool you may want to enable fuzzy skin as a layer modifier (25mm - 64.5mm was used in the attached photos)
