Facetron head drop protection

Ever bump the head lock lever and drop the head? Or raise the quill and bump into the top of the mast? This prints two items for protection. The column bumper will help to keep the head from slamming into the deck if you bump the head lock lever. I'm sure you know about keeping a rubber band on the lever to apply slight pressure against it to prevent that. This is a bit more added protection. It along with a plastic sleeve will slow the drop and maybe even save your stone from being knocked off the dop.The sleeve and a few carefully placed towels also keep contamination away from the mast. The mast knob condom is a bit of protection in case you lose control of the quill and it bumps the top of the mast. I have yet to do that "knock on wood" but I've seen the result where the stone is knocked off the dop. Head was removed to show this. The parts were printed in TPU. No supports needed. The sleeve is 4 Mil Thick Flat Poly Tubing 3.1 inch/8cm Wide. Is used for making parts bags out of so you might want to group purchase it if you can only find it in rolls. .
