Description
Have you ever wanted to build a Recreator3D MK6 Fun Size with parts from an Ender-3 Pro but don't want to get a 12 volt power supply and heater cartridge? Have you had to settle for having an external PSU hanging out the back of your unit? Never fear! This addon allows for the original 24 volt power supply to be mounted underneath your Recreator3D MK6 for a smaller overall footprint (as compared to a normal external PSU). The feet allow the unit to be raised off the surface of the table for better airflow to the fan, as the PSU is flipped over in this design. The back cover keeps everything contained nicely, with a mounting point for the original power switch/connector combo as well. I wanted to avoid buying the smaller 12v power supply listed in the MK6 BOM, because that came with the hassle of also changing the heater cartridge to a 12v one as well. All parts can be printed out of PLA or any other plastic that you have available, but some need support. Models that need support are marked as so in the “Files” tab. Additionally, the bottom feet are designed to be printed from TPU for anti-slippage but can be printed from plastic if you so desire. For assembly, I found some extra M4 and M3 bolts from my past upgrades and extra hardware, 4 M4x20 and 4 M3x10 screws are needed (no nuts :3). You could also use glue to hold the bottom feet on, which would eliminate the need for the M3 hardware. This project went together relatively well for me, but your mileage may vary. Enjoy recreating! I did not design the Recreator3D, nor am I a part of the amazing team that maintains the project. JRT3D is the original creator. Join the official Recreator3D Discord server here .
