Description
A couple unorthodox surfboard fins inspired by 1980s provotypes. Release Package no.1 designed using Desmos and FreeCAD. Instructions: To optimise for FDM printing, all fin files are a half cross section perpendicular to the z-axis. -Pre-Process: Ensure filament is UV and water-resistant. -Process: Mirror along the x-axis within the slicer before printing the second half or opposing side fin. -Post-Process: Fuse both halves together using 10 parts acetone to 1 part ASA or a marine grade epoxy. Then sand and/or vapour smooth. Optionally, to save time and post-processing for the side fins; double the z-axis height within the scale function of the slicer. This eliminates the necessity for a second half to print and fuse but it does leave a flat edge on the inside faces.
