Description

Use this simple template to cut craft felt, velvet, or even faux leather to line your dice tray. If the material isn't too thick, it will not adversely affect the lid closing and it will soften the sound of dice landing in the tray. This template was sized by using the Tray only model, measured in Tinkercad. If you rescale your tower, note the percentage and scale the template by the same percentage on X and Y. I included tabs on two sides to make it easier to hold the template in place. Position the template over your material of choice. You can mark the corners or trace the walls. Then remove the template and cut using scissors, very easy! Alternatively, if you have safe cutting surface, you can use an Xacto knife and cut directly in the template. Differences in materials and process can throw the size off slightly. I recommend doing a test fit by using your template to cut a piece of paper. If the size is off slightly adjust the scaling up or down by 1-2% and reprint. Thankfully this print takes very little filament! I used regular craft felt. I found the fit so snug it stays in place quite well without adhesive - but if needed double sided tape or a dot of glue at the corners would probably do the job.
