Filament Splicing Jig welder join

This is a remix, I added Bowden PTFE Tubing on one end, after heating up both filament ends with iron, then push filament into the Bowden tubing, it makes the join smooth, and the right size. ----------------------------- This splicing jig makes quick work of joining filament ends. Use a soldering iron tip to melt the ends of the filament segments and then shove together for a perfectly aligned joint. Then clean up the joint with file, razor blade or utility knife. I've printed this in PLA and use it for splicing PLA filament - which surprisingly, does not stick to the jig. See how to use it here:
