5/6/24 - I know I show the splitter screwed into the back, but I ended up removing the screw and letting it hang. It turns out that the slight give in the splitter as it hangs actually prevents snags, as the filament is self centering as it pushes forward. If you leave it screwed into the back, it will still occasionally snag. Not often, but even once is too much for me. I could remove the screw holes and repost, but I'll just leave this note so people know not to use them. 2/21/24 - V3 of the remix testing has gone very well. No snags or jams so far. Releasing to a broader audience for further testing, but I think we finally have a printable filament splitter that works! Some notes: I printed in PLA at .16 layer height for tighter tolerances. I also used a 1/16" drill bit in my fingers, not with a drill, to gently smooth out the exit hole and punch through any small stringers. (The exit is the single hole side.) The entrance holes on the other side came out perfectly sized. The exit needs to be very tight and close to mate up with the PC4-M10/teflon tube boundary perfectly, so that side is the most important to take care with. I used 3 PC4-M10 fittings carefully screwed in until they bottomed out, and with teflon tubing pushed into them fully, the gaps between the teflon tubing and the printed part are incredibly small, preventing snags from filament striking the side of the teflon tube instead of the middle of it and becoming jammed. A side note, I am NOT using the screw to secure this to the back of the unit. I've found that the restricting the movement with the screw occasionally causes the filament to hang up. Without the screw, I've not had a hiccup in two months of frequent printing. I'll leave the V2 stl for those who want to see the differences, but don't use it.
