Description

With the official LED strip now being back in stock I took version 2 of the official Flashforge 3D model and tweaked it. I initially printed the old version but that gets knocked off by the 4 into one filament adaptor on top of the print head so Flashforge updated it. I modified the Flashforge step file as I wanted to incorporate some button magnets to help keep it in place as the standard printed clips are not the best, having some 10mmx2mm ones from Amazon in my bit box I thought I'd adapt the existing file. To accommodate the relatively large magnets I had to increase the back face by 2mm (and remove the slice they had put in the version 2 - probably to distinguish it from version 1) I also slightly increased the static tang that retained the led strip as the light bar was actually a little short and kept falling out This will obviously only accommodate the official light strip as all the third party ones on Ebay and Amazon seem to be a different size. I like the location where this strip locates on the printer as its behind the camera and it really makes it work well and gives a decent image in my view The magnets holes are sized at 10mm and are a very firm push - so they don't fall out! I've included a step file and the Alibre file so you can see exactly what I did I printed mine in PeTG but this light bar doesn't get that hot as the strip only has 7 LEDS so PLA would probably be OK
