Description
The original power supply of my IBM Model 2133 died, and finding a replacement was both difficult and expensive. To solve this, I designed a 3D‑printed mounting adapter for a Flex ATX power supply. ⚠️ Important: To use a Flex ATX PSU in the Model 2133, you will need an AT-to-ATX adapter cable. The front panel power switch of the PC must be connected to the Power ON pin on the ATX side of the adapter. For this version, I kept the design simple. I could have added mounting tabs to use the existing slots in the 2133 chassis, but that will be implemented in the next iteration. In the meantime, this adapter includes a hole/passage that allows you to secure the Flex ATX PSU with a zip tie for extra stability. This is completely optional, as Flex ATX power supplies are very lightweight and are intended to be positioned horizontally. This adapter makes it easier to retrofit a modern, readily available Flex ATX PSU into your classic IBM Model 2133 case while keeping installation safe and stable.
