Description
My kid's constantly losing/forgetting to charge her ipad. I thought making the charging spot dragon-themed might help solve this issue. That kid loves dragons. I've seen a lot of floating shelves that look like hands and thought surely someone would have made a dragonborn one by now, but, no such luck. So, this was born. Some notes: The one I made used a .2mm layer height and a .4mm nozzle. It was printed on its back, at an angle. This caused one of the knuckles to spaghettify, though it did recover and complete the print as a whole. It also left some scarring on the underside. My kid didn't seem to notice. I considered printing it straight up and sown, with the plate functioning as the “wall” but I worried about the way weight would be distributed against the layer pattern. I printed it with 15% infill and that seems sturdy enough to hold up an ipad in a case. Anything heavier may need additional infill. Also I don't know how to combine objects using negative space. I attempted to figure it out and did not succeed SO the object combination is a bit kludgy. However, I figure more filament=more stability, especially in the mounting area. The one I printed used 163g, including supports.
AI Analysis: This object is a decorative art sculpture designed to hold a tablet device. It features a purple frame with a handle and a transparent display area. The sculpture includes several metallic, claw-like appendages that extend downward from the base of the tablet holder, creating a unique and whimsical design. The claws are shiny and appear to be made of a reflective material, adding to the visual appeal of the piece.
