Description

I designed this to help block the Heat making its way from the lower half into the upper chamber. This helps let the top half run cooler which increases longevity and performance when printing with filaments such as ABS, ASA, PC, PA, ect. This stepper-motor covers go inside, under the actual Stepper-Motor's. The existing M3 screw that are on either side of the motors are utilized in this process. I unhooked the limit switch and moved it out of the way for better access. Its pretty simple and the holes line up good. I did mark each cover with is corresponding motor so make sure you put them on the correct motors so you don't get confused later lol. As for the rear of each motor I did make little covers just cause I really wanted to button it up the best I could. These use M2 screws so the head of the screw does not touch the motor during install. You could probably get away with an M3 but I didn't want find out and just went the safe rout lol. As you can see in the pictures the skinny cover goes on top, The M2 10mm long screw goes in through the top as well, the smaller anchor goes on the bottom and fits between the gap on the big cover, and finally the M2 Nut is installed and snugged up. Easy Peasy =D -(you might have to replace the current M3's with a little bit longer ones. I had 2 of the current ones that were to short after installing the cover so i just upgraded all of them to longer M3's) Initial Layer Hight - .2 Layer Hight - .16 Infill - 20% Bed - 60C Stepper-Motor Covers require no support.
