Description
Filament, loaded into the FLSUN V400, dangles freely between filament sensor and print head. While this doesn't impose a problem while printing, it does between prints, especially when using hygroscopic filaments or pausing extensively: The part of filament exposed to air sucks moisture. As this is the first part to be printed with a new item, the water logged filament may create a bad first layer, or simply break. Neither is nice. There's no simple way to extend the small section of pipe at the print head up to the filament sensor, unless a tube connector can be attached to its filament exit. That's what this adapter does: sitting at the filament exit, while allowing to mount such a connector. Mounting is easy, as it simply snaps on the filament sensor. scad file added, should you wish to use a tube connector with different thread or seal diameter. I printed adapter with PETG as the clamp snapping onto the filament sensor should be less brittle compared to PLA.
