Description
Tis model doesn't utilize the external mounting points (used for plant supports and circular lighting upgrade), instead clamps on around the tower itself. Thus you can easily adjust its position. π· Image redacted β claim this model to add your own media It can also be installed alongside with the lighting rings. Ideally you would want to clamp it on a spacer below the planter module but it can also fit on the planter module itself just below the arms. π· Image redacted β claim this model to add your own media Comes in 3 parts, designed to tightly fit the 220x220 print area. You must orient the part so the mesh stands vertically and then rotate the part around 45 degrees so it stretches from one corner of the build plate to another. It's easier to put one edge of it precisely at the corner of the build plate and then adjust the rotation step by step until it fits within the boundaries. π· Image redacted β claim this model to add your own media π· Image redacted β claim this model to add your own media π· Image redacted β claim this model to add your own media Needs x6 M3 screws that are 10mm (0.4") or longer. If you want to secure it with a nut - you need at least 12mm (0.47") or longer. It might be easier to install if you drill out the holes and use nuts, but it stays securely together if you can screw in the M3 screws as designed. A longer ratchet or electric screwdriver is recommended. You can also hold the pieces together with pliers or a wrench through the hex holes above the screw points. Printing in recommended orientation needs supports in one area as shown below: π· Image redacted β claim this model to add your own media Type of supports doesn't really matter, I just find that tree support work better for me when supporting curved or uneven surfaces, the interface peels off more cleanly. π· Image redacted β claim this model to add your own media The basket itself can hold quite a bit of weight after assembly and it should be more than enough to accommodate anything that can grow in a hydroponic tower, though primarily it's designed to support strawberries. Due to the lack of proper fruits - here's a demonstration of its supporting capabilities: Updated the model to v3 to hopefully fix the slicing errors
