Description
I had printed the spool rollers for the Prusa Lack Enclosure , but found that a lot of my spools were too narrow to sit properly on them, and if you have 250g or 500g spools you couldn't use them at all! The sliding feature was nice, but it also meant that generally the pass through hole was not aligned with the centre of the spool. Enter my redesign, fully 3D printed, using J Lake 3D's 608 bearing to roll, and a wide roller which will accept any spool from 250g to 1kg. I find that the spool rolls really well, and tends to self centre on the pass through hole for smooth filament feeding. Cover photo shows one spool roller mounted on my IKEA Platsa enclosure. Secure to the enclosure using two 3.5 x 20 mm wood screws.
