Description
This is for installing underneath the deck of a futon so that when the converting to a couch, the deck slides past this and then is held in place from sliding back down. I used standard wood screws as my metrics for the screw head and barrel size in the design. Print with the angled portion on the build plate (no supports needed) for the smoothest surface for sliding, and give a quick sanding once installed to smooth out any squish from the screws. We had these on our previous futon frame, but the new one didn't have them. There was enough friction to hold it in for years, but when we got a new mattress with fresh springs, it was a little too much force and the deck kept slipping back down towards the "bed" position. A quick print and installation later and it satisfyingly clicks into place and stays there.
