Description
The backlighting on my Yamaha FZ6n's dash has started to fail after years of temperature change. So i made this clip on front plate to illuminate the screen. Its made from 2 parts glued together with white plastic sheet between to provide a light guide - the numbers are glued directly to the sheet. The trim piece it to help minimise the glare from the led's but if printed in something translucent provides a nice effect. additional parts required would be your choice of led strip - i chose a 4mm wide rubberized 12v 6500k strip as per the link below and your choices to wire it in (a 12v strip can be wired to the bikes main loom/ignition but there is no reason you cant use a 5v with a voltage converter or battery .... or even ARGB if you want to hide a suitable controller somewhere) and the white plastic sheet (anything translucent and non degrading should work - multiple suitable materials are available at a hobby store) I have included a blank front plate and a textured one as well as one with additional space to hide wires - also a blank start point if you want to remix your own. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007218910348.html
