Description
Designed as a replacement for a cast metal original fitted to a “Majestique” Reclining rattan garden chair that had corroded and broken up. I printed it without supports using Elegoo PLA+ (you may prefer to use a material better suited to outdoor use). The lack of support means that the upper surfaces of the bump stops are a little rough but that proves to be a slight advantage because of the ‘cushioning effect’. The two parts are held together by a single 30mm M6 bolt and nut that also acts as a fulcrum. I only had standard hex bolts available and the limited room would make a socket or cross screw head bolt easier to fit. The handle fits into a rectangular hole and is held with 2 pop rivets or screws.
