Description
This is a Model allows for the Webcam to be attached by use of a 1/4" x 3/4" Stainless Steel Hex Bolt. Rather than disassembling the Webcams to attach it to the mount. It attaches using a friction clip attaching to the Z roller Motor mounting bracket on the Ender 2 Pro printer. Due to the varying thicknesses of the metal bracket it attaches to it my need to be pressed on a bit but the PLA is flexible enough to do this with out cracking. At least on my 2 printers. The gap is set to 2.8 mm, and fits my 2.87 mm & 2.93 mm brackets. Version 1 is designed Not to interfere with the display, but doesn't get a good view of the nozzle. Version 2 is also designed not to interfere with the display, and allows for the camera to be mount inverted to get a better vies of the nozzle. Please don't mind the rubber-band, it was the simplest solution for now to keep the camera from drooping when inverted. The only additional hardware needed is a single 1/4" x 3/4" Stainless Steel Hex Bolt. I don't like trying to use a 3D printed screw for a 14" thread as they tend to strip or break off too easily. The bolt is easy to find and works very well in all the cameras I have found so far. Modeled entirely in Autodesk Tinkercad. Printed in PLA with supports on an Ender 3. recommend placing a support block in the friction clip as removing support material form there is difficult. .02mm Layer Height 15% infill, is sufficient and as the ender only has the single Z motor I thought a lighter model was called for. PS: Updated to add V3 that can be printed on the Ender 2 Pro. And by request I am including v2 in 2 parts that can also be printed on the Ender 2 pro, but will need to be Glued together with a strong glue. I suggest Gloop!
