Description
Check out my new Toy Switchblade design here . This is my gravity utility knife design. I also made a toy blade if you just want to use it as a fidget toy. If you enjoy the design a like or make would be appreciated. Check out my new fidget spinner and print in place bearing here . You can find my other toy knife designs here . Thanks to FormFutura for providing the High Gloss PLA ColorMorph filament used in this post. I especially like the red and black color morph. Instructions - I recommend printing in a resolution between 0.2mm and 0.1mm - The only part that needs supports is the handle. - The video below shows how to assemble the knife. - When assembling the knife it is important to note the orientation of the flexing slider. Its sides are slanted so it only works in a specific orientation. - I would strongly suggest using a lubricant on the flexing slider. It will work without lubricant but its action is much smoother when lubricated. - The threading on the screw is (M8x1.25) and the threading on the knob is (M5x0.8). - If the threading is too tight try printing the screw and knob individually or scaling them down in the x and y direction. Hardware - x2 4mm M3 screws, specs linked here - x2 M3 nuts, specs linked here - x1 utility blade Printing Orientation 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media Disassembled Parts 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media Uncut Assembly Video
