Description
Store long objects in low drawers. A lot of Gridifinity solutions allow you to store long objects lying down or standing up. In my low drawers, I initially lay down my long thin objects. However, they where hard to get out of the bin even when I printed the bins with scoop. To fix this issue, I created this bin with angled overlapping compartments so long objects can partially stick out. This makes is easy to grab my tweezers and random small screwdrivers while also being more space efficient. This bin should work great for things like: Pens Pencils Brushes Tweezers Small screwdrivers Markers Other relatively long objects Build instructions Print I used PLA. No special settings required. Place the bin in your Gridfinity grid Parameterized model This is a fully parameterized OpenSCAD model. This means you can change the model to suit your needs. This model has a lot of parameters since this model is built on top of Gridfinity Rebuilt in OpenSCAD. It allows you to change: Size of the bin Number of compartments (X and Y axis) Length of the compartments Compartment overlap Bin end style (pictures show: “multiple compartments”) Base hole style More… Open model editor in your browser Basic editor instructions: Open the model in the model editor by clicking the link above Change the model parameters In the bottom left, click the “Render” button In the bottom left, click the “Download STL” button
