Description
This is a work in progress. https://imgur.com/a/HtB5Y7u https://imgur.com/a/ZTJiDtT Latching bins compatible with Gridfinty+ bases. Bases are compatible with all gridfinity bins. New design is magnetic compatible. Simply embed a 1 x 15mm wire ( I used an old paper clip) into the base plate. It doesn't grab as well as standard gridfinity with magnets on both sides but should be enough for most applications. I printed mine with PETG so the latch had plenty of flex. The bins are now available with 4 different tab options at the corners, along the edges, max tabs, and no tabs. ----- 11/6/24 - I added an experimental workbench for Freecad 1.0 rc2. You can create a base grid of any size (needs optimization) or create a bin. Just unzip the file into the Freecad mod folder. To create bins start with the tabs tool. Set the size and choose the tabs pattern you want. Then use the create bins tool to create the bin to fit the tabs. Use the fusion tool to boolean all of the bins parts together. I plan on adding a few bin types in the future. ----- 1/30/25 - Combined all of the required bin functions into one tool on the workbench. 1/31/25 - Fixed error in bin creator which resulting in a missing layer. Added batch bin creation.
