Description
This is a container for 150mm/6in dial calipers that gets them as low as possible without laying them on their side and taking up extra horizontal space. I had to leave out one of the magnet holes to make room, but the other 23 should hold it in place just fine. I have the Anytime Tools 6"/150mm Dual Reading Dial Caliper, so it fits that and similar models. There was some extra space, so I added a groove for a couple pens or mechanical pencils and a hole to hold a pencil while it's on a desktop for quick grabbing. I didn't go for a super tight tolerance around the calipers for a few reasons: I couldn't use my only set of calipers to measure themselves without damaging them. I wanted to be able to get them in and out of the box easily. Hopefully the looser fit will accommodate other similar models. The footprint is 6x1 units, and it's 6 units tall, so I can stack short bins over the bottom of the caliper. It fits on an Ender 3 build plate at a 45º angle, just remember to adjust the fill angle to 0º if you have to rotate it. I used Serpent10i 's improved magnet hole design and designed it to be sliced with a .24mm layer height.
