Description
This small upgrade solves the problem of the torque effect on the linear block bearing and the quick shifting of the heatbed when homing the Y-axis. I didn't like the idea of the linear block bearing under the bed being used as a stop for homing the Y-axis. Since the bed uses a three-bearing layout, the point impact is well off-center and not in line with the pulling force of the motor, and it causes the bed to shift and bounce slightly when hitting zero. Over time, this torque effect will stress and/or possibly damage the bearings. My simple upgrade is a stop-block that mounts directly on the GT2 Y-belt. To install, simply mount the printed stop block on the lower half of the GT2 belt for the Y-axis at a location where it will hit the front pulley housing about 2mm before the block bearing hit the back of the frame when homing. Please post your makes.
