Description

I made this handle curved-base to replace the original handles in my caravan. Printed in PETG, this piece is really strong and should withstand the elements. The original handles had a system to hide the screws using a flexible tab that closes with a click, and my design replicates this functionality. You just need to lift the tabs to insert and tighten the screws, and then close them and press until you hear the click. I created another flat-base model for other purposes as well. Printing instructions: Material: I've only printed them in PETG for strength and durability. Perimeters: Set a high number of perimeters to reinforce the piece. Top and bottom solid layers: Increase the number of top and bottom solid layers, which in this case will be the sides of the piece, to add strength. Infill: Use a sufficiently high infill percentage to ensure structural resistance. Print in place: Ensure the printer is calibrated correctly to allow the flexible tab to move without adhering to other parts during printing. Adjustments: The printing parameters can be adjusted depending on the intended use of the handle. For heavy-duty use, it is recommended to maximize perimeters, solid layers, and infill." Print on its side, no supports needed. I recommend setting a couple of millimeters of raft on the base to improve first layer adhesion and initial overhangs.
