Description

I designed this hot glue gun holster to be installed underneath my workbench, and fit the RICHMANN hot glue gun which is just a generic hot glue gun i owned for years. If you want to test if your particular hot glue gun will fit - measure the diameter of the body and if it's less than ~4cm then it will probably fit. The slim elongated shape of the holster would easily snap overtime due to unfavorable layer orientation, so i designed it to be reinforced by a 7mm aluminium/steel rod, first print the bottom and top part, join them together and slide/hammer the rod in place, secure it with a dab of CA/Hot glue, cut off the excess and screw the assembly under your desk. remember to also install the ooze catcher so that any residual hot glue dripping from the nozzle wont land on your floor. If you dont have a metal rod this size, you can also choose the second verison that uses a plastic rod you can print yourself, just print it solid, laying down flat then hammer it in, the perpendicular layer orientation will make the holster much stronger and more durable. I dont reccomend printing it with PLA as the heat from running hot glue gun will obviously soften and/or melt the holster and potentially 'weld' the gun to the holster if left unattended. PETG or ABS is reccomended here. the little indented features i added to the model can be marked as fuzzy skin in orcaslicer (see pictures) which gives the holster a really cool and professional looking appearance
