Description
This is a set of parts for building a freestanding multi-spool wire dispenser, based on the excellent HSW Single Wall boards by KYZ Design . Using the 7x7 Single Wall as a base, I could fit 8 small wire spools (47mm diameter, 34mm axial length) per wall in a 3-2-3 arrangement. To do the same you'll need one Single Wall , two feet , and then: 6x hsw-wire-spool-attachment-Part.stl 2x hsw-wire-spool-attachment-Bar1-110.stl 1x hsw-wire-spool-attachment-Bar1-70.stl, 8x hsw-wire-holder-Part.stl, 3x hsw-back-label-Body.stl. See the photos for the arrangement and assembly sequence. You'll also want some masking tape for the labels. All parts (including the 7x7 wall) fit on a Prusa Mini's bed (although not all at the same time). Note that this is slightly different to most Hex Storage Wall builds in that the wall is “backwards” in use: the side with the wider hexagons faces towards you. That is usually the back side, facing the wall, but in this case the fixtures need to clip solidly to the side facing away from you. The label parts just push into place. They're a friction fit so might need gluing depending on your printer's tolerances. I printed mine in PLA. It's very rigid, but it means that the parts with clips taken from the Super Strong Hooks (that's the feet and the hsw-wire-spool-attachment-Part.stl) can be very hard to insert, first time around. They do go, with enough force.
