Description
Before you start , note that the measurements are modified to fit my box with tape on. The tape adds about 0.16mm of thickness on each side, the tt versions are adjusted accordingly, but without a spare box to test I would not know how well it fits. Thus it is recommended that you try those test prints out before committing to this project. This is printable on a Prusa Mini (or any other 18cm by 18cm machines), just disable the skirt for the big parts. This is best printed in PETG Behold, the way to get a magnetic parts tray without paying 50£ or so to LTT (jk pls don't sue me). Anyway, this is actually inspired by their product, I made this because I believe it's genuinely a good idea. Stuff you'll need: [4] 30mm M3 bolts [4] 15mm M3 bolts [2] 50mm M3 bolts [2] 12mm M3 bolts [2] 6mm M3 bolts [14] M3 nuts [1] Sheet of magnet (You need smth that's “actively magnetic” and at least 0.8 or 0.9mm thick, none of that 0.4mm printable or Ferrous kind will ever hold a screw. Got mine from Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08MFRY3VC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&th=1) Before you do any bolts , remember that when you're making the tray, these 2 have to go in first, they are the 6mm ones holding the walls in place 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media Bolts layout 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media Seethrough (because I can't be bothered to draw this again with my mouse from the back) 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media Oh and the Logo is gonna need to be glued in. Other than that it is nice to have some anti-slip feet made from eva foam, can also give you a bit of headroom in bolt length around the tray. Assembly should be intuitive enough, let me know if anything doesn't make sense, I'll update this.
