Description
Since IKEA decided to use goofy small waste bins and we had about 18cm of extra space that always was missing in my life I decided to fix it myself as my trash bags are literally twice in height compared to my stupid ikea bin that is made for unrealistic small amounts of trash that only force you to throw out half empty trash bags - come on IKEA. Disclaimer: I didn't manage to get the perfect fit so I used a bit of super glue and Nails als connecting parts for a stronger connection instead of the hassle of trying to use 3d printed connectors so, either try them and fail and hate me or McGyver it like I did. Instructions: 1.Remove the handles of your waste bin if you got the same one I got 2.Print Extension 1 and 2 twice as they are diagonally identical, then you just connect the 4 parts any way you seem fit. 3.Plan A: Try the "connecting part" and hope for the best with a bit of sanding Plan B: Do as I said with super glue and Nails without heads to connect the 4 corner Extensions (cutting pliers will get the job done) 4.Profit from a bigger Ikea waste bin Bear in mind I cant tell you how high of an tolerance you have under your sink so check that out before printing it, if anyone cares to even print this Im happy to alter the height or ad a few mm to make it fit snuggly but I wont print it again since Im already done and want to save on filament. Printing: PLA will do fine 100 mm/s worked fine for me 2 outer walls use a 4mm Brim when printing and print it upside down so you don't need any supports Use gyroid 10% fill or more if you feel like it should be nuke proof 0.8mm wall thickness 0.4mm nozzle I used 220 nozzle and 50 Print Bed Celsius With (i know stupid color choice) White PLA from eSUN but its in no way my recommendation, use black PLA from any half decent brand and you will do fine. Godlike advice for a good stick of the print on the bed: Buy a cheap PEI print (amazon) bed plate for your printer for better life quality, all prints went butter smooth ever since.
