Description
This is a remix of ricktu's Fractal Pyramid on Thingiverse that is more reliable for slicing in Cura 5.1.0. When sliced in vase mode, the original model had thousands of retractions on the first layer. So I edited the original models in Fusion360 to make the bottom 0.2mm base of the pyramid solid. This ensures that Cura prints the bottom of the pyramid as a solid, concentric layer in vase mode. Filament: YOUSU Silk Dual Color PLA Printing Settings (Cura 5.1.0): Layer Height: 0.19 mm Surface Mode: Normal Spiralize Outer Contour: ✓ Smooth Spiralized Contours: ✓ When I set the layer height at the normal 0.2 mm, I would have strange travels and extrusions in random layers of the print, even if vase mode was on. However, all of those glitch layers would disappear when using a layer height of 0.19mm, which would be visually the same: 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media I recommend that you go through the layers after slicing to make sure it's truly printing in vase mode. Happy printing!
AI Analysis: This is a geometrically intricate fractal pyramid structure, designed to resemble a vase with a spiral pattern. The model features a repeating fractal design that creates a visually complex and symmetrical form, with each layer of the pyramid showcasing the same intricate pattern. It is intended for decorative purposes, serving as a unique artistic piece that combines mathematical beauty with functional aesthetics.
