ION Air LP – Replacement Lid Hinge (Turntable Dust Cover Repair) This model is a replacement hinge for the lid (dust cover) of the ION Air LP vinyl turntable. The original hinge on this player is made from fragile plastic and tends to break after repeated opening and closing of the lid (or sometimes after an unexpected child interaction). This 3D printable replacement part allows you to repair your turntable easily instead of replacing the entire unit. Features Replacement hinge for ION Air LP turntable lid Designed for easy and reliable 3D printing Uses original mounting points and screws Quick repair to restore the dust cover functionality Printing Recommendations Material: Tested with PLA. For better durability, consider PETG, ABS, or ASA, CF filament….. Layer height: 0.2 mm Infill: 15% works for normal use 40–100% recommended for maximum strength Supports: Required Orientation: Print the hinge body at ~35° to improve strength around the axis holder, the 3mf file Add extra support to help keep the part consistency Print the two other parts flat Installation Remove the broken hinge from the turntable. Align the printed hinge with the original screw holes. Reuse the original screws and axis to mount the new hinge. Reinstall the click mechanism from the original hinge if needed. Attach the lid. Note : I do not have the original spring, so maybe an adaptation of the pull part is required Compatibility Designed for: ION Air LP It may also fit other ION turntables using a similar hinge design, but this has not been tested.
