Description
The Colossus has fully overtaken the front lines. The smaller, slower war machines stood no chance. Faced with the possibility of losing the war entirely, the 13th War Council gathered around the idea of an airborne Dummy arrangement. After countless hours of tireless work, their efforts have paid off in the form of the Jetstream 13: an extremely mobile, agile, and maneuverable unit with a complete disregard for the terrain; 'who needs to know the lay of the land when you never touch the ground?' This model is a nearly fully custom frame; only the joints and a few smaller parts are used from the base Dummy. I've provided a full frame set on runners for this one, first time in a while I've done that. Here's some quick mockup instructions: 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media The body is assembled the same as a normal Dummy, but with different thighs, shins, forearms, chest and biceps. The shin and bicep frames both have a little notch to keep the armor in place. The shin has the notch in the front, the bicep has it in the back. It's easy to see where it goes on each one. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media The jetpack slots into the hole in the fin on the back of the chest armor. It NEEDS SUPPORTS, since the backpack attachment is floating off the print bed. I included a version with built-in supports, or you can slice it yourself without them. I recommend snug supports. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media This is the most fun I've had making a model in a good while. The past few models I've made, I've spent far too long focusing on the smallest details, taking days sometimes on a singular piece of armor or joint. I went back to what works with this one, and just fixed it as I went along. Fun Fact: the prototype name for this thing was "Hydrocity 13", since it was originally intended to be a dive suit or something aquatic. It came out in the end looking more like a flight suit, so I swapped to Jetstream.
