Description
Printed Tony F's remix for the K1 Max riser and fitted mounts to one of the sides to store the lid when it's removed. Then I stumbled across Alex Y's model for the hinged riser, preferred the first riser so did a remix to combine the hinges from Alex's model onto Tony's riser. The rear vent slider has to be removed as it catches on the lid when it hinges up and back, this could probably be easily fixed with a small change to the hinge design. I used fusion 360 to model the hinge onto the riser and created a hinge support using the rotate feature in 360 to pin the two components and check for clearances. You will need the full riser model from Tony F but only need to print two of his corners as two are replaced by my model, and the hinge and pins and clip from Alex's model along with the models in this remix plus the corner nut mount also listed on my page. Each of the corners in my model will require two straight nut mounts and one corner nut mount so you need to print 4 of the straights and two corner nut mounts and both the left and right corners. The nut brackets take M4 heated inserts and use M4x16mm bolts to secure the frame to the printer. I printed these parts in PLA with 30% infill. The corners need to be printed lying down with supports. You might want to print the nut brackets with a higher infill to increase their strength and I used locktite to secure the bolts as this is subject to quite a bit of vibration.
