Kärcher T‑Racer T5 Patio cleaner Replacement Skirt – PETG, Two‑Piece Print

The original splash skirt on my Kärcher T‑Racer patio cleaner eventually wore through on porcelain tiles — they’re just too abrasive for the thin OEM plastic. Rather than replace the whole attachment, I designed a stronger, longer‑lasting replacement skirt that fits the T‑Racer body perfectly. This is a two‑piece PETG print (too large for many beds in one go) with a 3 mm rounded chamfer on the lower edge to glide smoothly over textured slabs. Once printed, the two halves are bonded to the T‑Racer shell using contact adhesive. The fit is snug, clean, and secure. Each half takes around 2.5 hours to print, but the result is absolutely worth it — far tougher than the original skirt and built to last. Important Note – Trim the Original Skirt First The worn OEM skirt needs to be cut away or trimmed off. This replacement is designed to fit onto the thin remaining wall of the T‑Racer body once the original skirt has worn through or been removed. After trimming, the new skirt slides on cleanly and bonds perfectly. Why This Works Better Than the Original • PETG gives far better abrasion resistance on porcelain and rough paving • 3 mm rounded chamfer reduces drag and prevents snagging • Two‑piece design avoids warping and keeps tolerances accurate • 80% infill makes it tough enough for long‑term use • No screws or clips needed — when this eventually wears down, it’ll pull off cleanly for easy replacement Print Settings Used • Material: PETG • Layer Height: 0.2 mm • Infill: 80% • Brim: 5‑layer brim for bed adhesion • Orientation: Flat on the bed, skirt edge down • Print Time: ~2.5 hours per half Assembly • Trim or cut away the original worn skirt • Print both halves • Glue the seam (I used contact adhesive) • Apply adhesive to the T‑Racer body and press the skirt into place • Let it cure, then get cleaning Compatibility Designed for the T5 T‑Racer bundled with the Kärcher K2. The dimensions are very close to the T7 / T7 Plus, so it may fit those models too — if you try it, please comment so others know.
