Description
I adjusted my previous remix and took inspiration from Adam Cooke's conversion for the J-Max on printables and Nagual's adjustment for the diameter of the k6. I wanted something that used the motor and upper from this project but that would be easier to remove the grinder for cleaning and travel. Additionally, I frequently change grind size from espresso to aeropress and from bean to bean so I wanted easier access to the outer adjustment dial. The only major difference for setup is that you need to purchase bolts that will go in the back of the base. The bolts are nearly the same as those from Adam Cooke's conversion, however these are hex bolts so you don't need a metal grinder to cut the 1/4"-20 threaded rod yourself. I changed this because I want this to be accessible to as many people as possible, and I really didn't feel like breaking out the metal grinder. Additional parts: (2) 1/4"-20 hex bolt 3 1/2 inches length . I purchased these from my local hardware store for 50 cents a piece. (4) 1/4" nuts. Can't remember the price but they were cheap. (2) 1/4" washers. Instructions: Place bolts through the hexagonal openings in the back and pull the bolts all the way through. Place a washer on the bolts and screw a nut onto each bolt to hold it snuggly against the base. Place a nut into each of the knobs and use the knobs to secure the clamp to the grinder.
