Description
Neatly organize the individual cable strands that span between the back of your CM Qube 500 and a ( height adjustable) desk. Every single time when I found the endurance to finalize a fixed cable management solution for my setup, It lasted less than two weeks before I removed or added hardware that rendered my cable routing endeavour obsolete. For this purpose I developed my two cable clip models KLAMMA and it's successor KLIPPT. They allow for versatile routing options on surfaces where you either can glue-on or screw-in the generic base plate. The unorganized part of my cable management is always the way from the underside of my desk to the computer. I was almost always fine with bunching up all cables from the back of my PC on the floor and then guiding them through a single drag chain up to the desk top. But, there are better options! Combine three monitor cables, all the periphery USB lines, power cords, etc. in a variable wiring harness. Till now there was no meaningful mounting surface to get these attached to. KLIPPT for CM Qube 500 fixes this shortcoming and gets us one step closer to the fully flexible cable management solution! 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media Additionally Required Hardware None, this model is fully printable. You just need one klippt-cm-qube500-base for each klippt-cable-clip . Design Features In contrast to the originally provided clip design I reoriented the latching hooks by 90 degrees so that they can be printed in the X/Y-plane, which gives additional strength. The part that normally would be the KLIPPT backplate is directly mounted the clip. The backplate itself is designed with a slight back-bend to add clamping force. Customization There is not much to customize on this model. But find the Fusion 360 file in this models download section. There is a User Parameter to change the bending angle, that regulates clamping force. If you need bigger cable clips you may find them as well as the corresponding Fusion 360 file in the original KLIPPT model. Print Instructions This model requires a good amount of build plate adhesion. If you have problems with that consider applying an adhesion promoter like glue stick or similar to the build plate. The nature of this design makes it unpractical to print with a brim, the remainder of that would interfere with the locking mechanism on the Qube 500 as well as on the KLIPPT. I got good results with tightly packing a bunch of these clips. Even if one of them fails it catches in it's direct neighbours and only ruin one or two other instances as opposed to the hole print job. This design relies on it's compliant structure, so use ASA or PETG just as with the KLIPPT model itself. A 0.4 mm nozzle at a layer height of 0.2 mm and 4 perimeters will be perfect. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media
